Harm Reduction
Hope, safety, and life—right at your fingertips.
The Detroit Health Department’s Harm Reduction Wellness Stations provide free supplies to help prevent disease, reduce overdose risks, and make substance use safer. This initiative helps protect the health of Detroiters by giving residents the tools they need to stay safe.
What Free Supplies Can I Get?
The Harm Reduction Wellness Stations will supply items that support safer practices and overall health, such as:
Naloxone Kits (Narcan)
Test Strips
Medication Deactivation Bags (Deterra Bags)
And other harm reduction items, like HIV testing kits, condoms and pregnancy kits
Where Are They Located?
You can find the Harm Reduction Wellness Stations at several locations in the form of newspaper stands, wall mounts or countertop placements in local businesses, and vending machines in DDOT terminals.
