The Greater Warren/Conner Framework Plan is a comprehensive study of the east side neighborhoods.
In accordance with a Community Benefit Agreement negotiated under the recent Stellantis plant expansion project, The City of Detroit Planning and Development Department proposes to fulfil the City’s commitment to conduct a neighborhood framework plan with the communities adjacent to the Stellantis automotive assembly facilities.
The proposed framework study for Greater Conner/Warren will examine the current conditions of the neighborhoods and make recommendations and implement strategies in order to support, stabilize, and develop the planning area. Further, the process will be driven by community engagement with residents, stakeholders and other groups and organizations as part of the process in determining how the neighborhoods will grow in the future.
The proposed framework will examine and provide recommendations toward the following objectives and deliverables, specific to the Greater Warren/Conner neighborhoods:
The framework will follow the City of Detroit’s Planning Department’s mission to promote a heathy and beautiful Detroit, built on inclusionary growth, economic opportunity, and an atmosphere of trust, for all Detroit residents. The onboarding of the consultant team and project kickoff to begin in Fall of 2022.
