Join us on September 21, 2023 at 5:00pm for a virtual Joe Louis Greenway presentation on the District 6 Department of Neighborhoods monthly community call.
The goal of this presentation is to share planning and design updates as well as the cost of installing bike lanes along the Joe Louis Greenway (JLG). The segments included in this presentation are Lonyo from Radcliffe St to Dix Ave, Woodmere from Vernor Hwy to Fort St, and a community led route change from W Lafayette from Campbell St to Grand Blvd.
Also included in this presentation is the community proposal for Gordie Howe International Bridge (GHIB) Community Benefits for bike infrastructure along W Jefferson and Clark St.
Installation of the bike lanes will cost approximately.:
Lonyo to Bagley (4 miles): $40 million USD
Clark-Jefferson (1 mile): $1 million CAD
JLG – Clark Park (0.30 mile): $1 million USD
Construction dates are to be determined.
